We are small part-time business working out of our run of the mill 2 car garage. We have been married for 8 years and have an amazing 5 year old son, Bradley. We both work full time in the nutracueutical industry and run the business after work and on the weekends. We live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
I always enjoyed making things. I took a few woodworking classes in school and made a few items around the house. A few cheap tables and a couple of workbenches. But that was about it. I mainly worked on my trucks but after those were gone I bounced around from hobby to hobby. None really held my interest for too long. I wanted to start getting my garage in a usable condition. And that's where is all started.
I started watching videos to get idea for the garage and came across Jay Bates channel. I downloaded his old drill station and paint holder and got to work. About the only tools I had were a drill, circular saw and jigsaw. I built everything on saw horses in my back yard. I made the paint can holder pretty much to plan, but decided to modify the drill station to fit my needs. When they were finished I knew I wanted to continue to make things. I continued to build items for the garage and started to acquire tools need for specific jobs I was doing. Before too long I was wanting to make gifts for my wife and others. After doing small projects for a year or so we decided to give ourselves a name and settled on Bice-N Woodworks. A play on our last name Bice. My wife designed the logo and in 2017 we started our small part time business.
We were able to get traction in the summer of 2018 when we purchased our CNC. While we have primarily made signs since getting our CNC we have made many other pieces like cutting boards, valet trays, cigar/whiskey trays, bottle openers, coasters, desk tops, barstool tops, etc. This is something we really enjoy doing and are always looking to grow and learn new skills. We appreciate everyone who has ordered from us and thank you for your support.
